Many have asked why I became a pastor. Well, here’s my story. My mother passed away while in college. She died of Juvenile diabetes. I was determined to become a biologist, hopefully working in diabetes research. After graduate school, I because a research assistant at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin. Two years into my new job, my lead supervisor informed me he lost his grant and therefore at the end of the year, I was out of a job.
Ever since grade school, I wanted to be a pastor. I can remember my pastor telling me several time that I would make a good pastor. After loosing my job, and after a lot of prayer, I entered the seminary in St. Louis, and the rest is history.
I graduated in May 2001, and my first call was to a mission congregation in Lake Shore, Minnesota. While there, I was the pastoral advisor for our association school as well as district activities.
After 5 years of ministry at Living Savior, God called me on July 9th to be pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Richland, Washington. I was installed on September 24th. This is where I presently serve.
